Conargo, is a small rural service town located on the Billabong Creek, a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River. It is located in the Murray Region, close to the southern border of New South Wales. The nearest towns are Jerilderie and Deniliquin. Conargo is a rural centre for sheep stud farms and a number of other farming enterprises including canola, wheat, rice, cereals. Conargo Shire has thriving friendly communities with great diversity.
