What's on in Forster - Events, Entertainment, Amusements, Gigs - Great Lakes Region, NSW
Forster and its twin coastal centre of Tuncurry, located on the Mid-North Coast of New South are connected by a concrete bridge across of the entrance to Wallis Lake. This bridge doubles the amusements, attractions and facilities for holiday makers in this area. The major holiday centre of Forster is located about 300 km north of Sydney and 150 km from Newcastle and 100 km south of Port Macquarie. The twin towns have a large array of facilities and attractions and offer a diverse range of activities and entertainment. The beaches, coastline and the Pacific Ocean lie to the east and the magnificent Myall Lakes and its interconnecting waterway to the west. Forster-Tuncurry has been a favourite holiday resort centre for families for over 50 years. The area has excellent ferry cruises, charter fishing boats, terrific sailing, wonderful lake cruises, great surfing, fantastic fishing and fabulous local seafood. There are a huge range of surfing and swimming areas and a beautiful coastal areas. The town has a family focus with many children`s activities and attractions and entertainment facilities. There is a large variety of beachfront accommodation available including many local resorts, many of which have their own facilities and offer various `stay and play` packages. The entertainment in the area is focused on Club Forster and the Sporties Tuncurry, both of which offer live entertainment and a wide range of sporting facilities.
