The well renowned seaside township of Lennox Head lies at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach adjacent to Lennox Headland. Lennox lies south of Byron Bay and north ob Ballina in the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales. Lennox Head is a truly magnificent and very well liked vacation destination with a huge variety of activities, enticements and amusement in the village and close by in the surrounding district, including all the delights the famous Byron Bay day and nightlife. The attractive main street runs along the beach and has numerous cafes, bistros, stores and a long park forming a beautiful backdrop to the famous beach. Nearby is the much loved Lake Ainsworth with its large picnic and BBQ amenities and excellent swimming in this large lagoon. There are many charter boats for hire, and truly magnificent sailing. Just south of the township on the headland is the famous surfing spot of Lennox Point with its flawlessly right-hand surf break attracting board riders from right round Australia and the world. Seven Mile Beach is a magnificent stretch of unspoiled, isolated sandy beach bordered by coastal heath lands. The beach is excellent for walking, strolling, bicycling, jogging, angling, surfing, swimming, whale and dolphin watching, canoeing and kayaking. Lennox Head is also a very popular spot for kite surfing, wind-surfing, hang-gliding and all types of boating. Inland there are remnant pockets of rainforest and various fresh food farms such as tea, coffee and Macadamia plantations. Lennox has a straightforward easy-going lifestyle and a friendly local community that welcomes visitors.
