Mandurah is a large city and holiday hub in the Peel Region in the South West corner of Western Australia lsituated about 70 km south of Perth. Mandurah has a unique combination of spectacular coast, bushland, the Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary is the major service centre for Peel Region. Bunbury to the south services the southern areas and borders the magnificent South West Region with its surfing and wineries. There is a rich arts and festival culture in Mandurah with many annual events, including the Channel Seven Crab Fest, Mandurah Ocean Marina Boat, Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show, Stretch Festival, Arts and Community Festival, Fishing Show, Peel Racing Pacing and Chasing Festival, Easter Sailing Regatta, Mandurah Rotary Duck Race, Mandurah Car Show and the famous Mandurah International Opera Festival. The delightful and attractive foreshore at Mandurah are well used for swimming, fishing, walking, picnics and BBQs, children paddling and playing on the shore and in the parks. At night the bay and Mandurah and waterfront areas are used fine dining at the many restaurants and cafes along the shoreline.
