The Peel Region of Western Australia, south of Perth, has a huge range of tourist attractions, facilities and activities with spectacular wilderness areas, fantastic surfing locations and the world renowned Margaret River Wine region. The region extends down the coast from Mandurah, the Peel Inlet and the Harvey Estuary in the North to Busselton and Bunbury in the south. The region Peel includes the towns and villages inland from this strip of land between Perth and the South West Region centred on Margaret River. One of the most attractive natural features in the area the Peel Harvey Estuary, a huge partially enclosed system of streams, rivers and lakes starting west of Mandurah and extending far to the south. The estuary is rich in fish, birds and other wildlife. It is a favourite recreational area for anglers and boaters. While in Mandurah visit the New Ocean Marina, the new Performing Arts Centre, Gallery and Theatre and the many restaurants in the area. Another popular attraction is the so called the 'Golf Coast' with its 3 world-famous courses - The Kennedy Bay, Secret Harbour Golf Links and the Meadow Springs Country Club. Visitors to Mandurah and the Peel Region can enjoy a large variety of places to stay. The region has excellent beaches, wonderful fishing and crabbing, fabulous golf courses and an ideal climate.
