Wentworth Falls is a scenic, popular and friendly town, at an elevation of about 850 m in the Blue Mountains Region, situated about 100 km west of Sydney. The Wentworth Falls area offers superb bushwalking and mountain bike tracks, fabulous scenery, a lovely cool climate and excellent tourist facilities and accommodation. The lovely Wentworth Falls Lake boasts something for everyone including swimming and a children`s playground, and parklands with BBQ and picnic facilities. There is a spectacular 18-hole golf course at the beautiful Wentworth Falls Country Club. The Falls Gallery and the Wentworth Falls School of Arts and has a fabulous collection of works by a range of contemporary Australian artists. There is stunning bushwalking and mountain bike trails in the Blue Mountains National Park that includes many waterfalls and attractions including: Lyre Bird Lookout, Brittania Red Rock,Valley of the Waters Picnic Area, Flat Rock, Queen Victoria Lookout, Rocket Point Lookout, Vera Falls, Lodore Falls, Sylvia Falls, Queens Cascades, Empress Falls, Princes Rock Lookout, Breakfast Point Lookout and the famous Wentworth Falls. You can find all the information about the walks from Conservation Hut, which hosts the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Wentworth Falls boasts various major annual festivals including the Wentworth Falls Lake Regatta (February), the Public School Art and Craft Show (May) and the Wentworth Falls Autumn Festival (April).
