Woodside is a small town tourist and rural service town located about 30 km from the centre of Adelaide in the Onkaparinga Valley near the Lofty Ranges. Woodside is a very poplar tourist town and location for a daytrip or week-end getaway from Adelaide boasting a wide range of facilities, attractions and activities. Woodside is close to Oakbank, Hahndorf and Lobethal which also have many tourist attractions. The famous Heritage Park includes several wonderful attractions including the Mill Shop of Onkaparinga, Melba`s Chocolate Factory and the Woodside Bazaar that has a fabulous range of antiques, arts and crafts, collectables, second hand furniture and much more. The Woodside Horse and Trail Riding Centre is alsoa very popular attraction boasting fabulous horse rides following an array of
scenic bush tracks in the area. Woodside has many hotels, art and craft shops, restaurants and cafes. A country market is held in Woodside on the third Saturday of each month. Local entertainment venues include: Bedford Hotel, Bird in Hand Winery.
